Join us for an illuminating evening as we trek along one of LLELA's trails and enjoy the "Worm Moon" full Moon!
Contrary to popular belief, the name Worm Moon does not refer to emerging earthworms during this time of year. According to Almanac.com, "In the 1760's Captain Jonathan Carver visited the Naudowessie (Dakota) and other Native American tribes and wrote that the name Worm Moon refers to a different sort of "worm" - beetle larvae - which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees and other winter hideouts at this time."
A lot of things are emerging at LLELA this Spring so don't miss this chance to experience LLELA after dark! Registration is required for this $15 event. Ages 5 and up are welcome!
